I thsslonoans Chapter 5

21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
²² Abstain from all appearance of evil.

²³ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²⁴ Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it

Sermon:

Today we are talking about to abstain from evil.

When the typical person thinks of evil they begin to think about witch's,warlocks,black magic,voodoo, or roots. But I am referring to the evil that exist inside of people your friends,enemies, or family. Also the evil that can sometimes rise up inside of us as a result anger, someone getting on your nerve,or someone hurts you emotionally. But you must abstain from evil because no good thing comes of it.

Gods gives us the spirit of discernment which is like a second set of eyes that allows us to see a person beyond your natural eyes, it allows you to see deep down in there soul and there heart, but you have to activate it like a light switch  by telling God to grant that gift and allow you to see beyond what you want to see.

Abstain from evil....As you abstain take better control of yourself when something upsets you. The bible says if man offend you seven times in a day turn the other cheek. Thus you must begin to do that you have to kill that spirit in side that person with kindness and God will change that sprit in them and the spirit in you.

Don't do bad towards anyone as it will bring reproach on you. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Abstain from evil today and allow the lord to keep on moving in your life.

pray this.....Our father and Our God help me to have a change of mind and heart to abstain from evil and how to use my discernment of spirit. Amen
