Psalm 55 vs 9-23 focus vs 22
9Destroy, O Lord, and confuse their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

10Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.

11Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.

12For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

13But it was you, a man my equal, my guide, and my close friend.

14We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.

15Let death seize upon them, and let them go down alive into the grave: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

16As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

17Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

18He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many against me.

19God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abides of old. Selah. Because they do not change, therefore they fear not God.

20He has put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him: he has broken his covenant.

21The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

22Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

23But you, O God, shall bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in you.

Sermon

As we examine this passage of scripture and we see that we are in the book of psalms which is composed of a collection of songs that was created into scripture

As this entire passage is needed my focus vs 22 says" Cast your burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain you:he shall never permit the righteous to be moved"

As we know form the scripture and it has been said to Gods people numerous times that God is the burden barer but does Gods people really know what that statement means. The scripture and particular statement means that God will sustain his people thus he will protect his people and make them steadfast and UN movable.

God is the burden barer because you can lay all the burdens before him and he will brace Gods people as the burden subsides. To lay the burden before the Lord is to release yourself from it as God will fight your battle and there is no need to dwell on a situation that the Lord can straighten out.

Gods people become so burden down with every issue that occurs in there life but people of God if you trust him and you believe in him there is no need to be burdened down.Gods people when you become burdened down you open up the door for enemy to come and  infringe on the burden, but you have fight the wiles of the devil and be like that tree planted by the rivers of water.

Within this passage of scripture  it also says that he will never permit the righteous to be moved meaning Gods people will be steadfast and un movable and un movable applies to your  emotions, mental state and physical.

Gods people if you don't know him or you are a person who is down trotted this is the time that you need to trust God and hand all over to him  in order that he may bring you through.

pray this....Christ I know you are the burden barer help me to release my burdens to you as my shoulders are week from carrying this weight....
